2025–2026 live classes
Discover Ms. Laura’s engaging Waldorf-stlye main lessons for the 2025-2026 school year.
Join us three times a week for activities designed to spark curiosity and foster growth across grades 1 through 4.
Each lesson is filled with music and movement, reflective creative work, new academic skills and stories, laughter, and wonder.
Ms. Laura’s online classes follow a predictable flow that builds familiarity each class and creates confidence in students.
Class opens with a song and a verse to set our intentions. This is followed by movement, rhymes, and recorder/ beginning music.
Next, we review a concept from a previous lesson in a creative way using construction paper, scissors, and glue!
Reviewing past concepts gets students ready to hear something new. Laura presents a new concept that builds naturally from the review.
Time to work is always provided.
Most classes end with a story.
Story is the heart and soul of an enchanted classroom.
The Enchanted Classroom
The world has changed so rapidly in the last decade that many adults no longer recognize their own childhood experiences in the world of the modern child. We adults long for those sweet school days when everything was magically. Many families have left traditional schools and are creating new visions of heart filled education for their children and their communities. The Morning Lesson with Ms. Laura has been creating this new heart-thinking approach to education for elementary students over the past decade.
While not all students can participate in a brick and mortar Waldorf school, or other progressive heart centered school, online classes can help create opportunities for education founded on heart-thinking and developmentally appropriate lessons.
Laura uses old school chalkboard drawings, crayons, construction paper and glue – tools familiar to young students in the real world to engage the online learners in small groups.
All lessons are grounded in her knowledge of the developing human being and the understanding of a head, heart, and hands approach to education. She follows the Waldorf approach to subjects taught at each year, carefully crafting stories from across the ages in a way 21st century children can find themselves anew.
Parents are often surprised how engaged their children are for 90 minute classes. While online is not for everyone, this enchanted classroom has proven to provide an education space personalized for the students in the room.
