Mentoring
One of my favorite parts of being a teacher is brainstorming with other teachers to create powerful learning moments in the classroom. Whether you are a traditional in school teacher, an online educator, or a parent teacher homeschooling one or more, I am thrilled to have conversations that help you be your best teacher self.
Sure, you can chat with AI and gain insight on a variety of topics but AI doesn’t have actual experience with real people. AI won’t tell you what to do when something goes sideways or even be able to help you predict where a lesson or theme may miss the mark.
There is something very important about sitting around a table and engaging in real conversation about real things. If you are ready to take take your teaching to the next level or if you are just becoming a teacher, schedule a mentoring session!
English as a Second Language
Laura began her teaching career as an ESL teacher in Texas. She loves Waldorf Education so much because it reminds her of the best practices used by ESL teachers. Laura uses art, music, movement, poetry to inspire students to make and to learn. She tells stories and creates space for her students to tell her stories.
Parent Book Club
Parents of enrolled students have automatic access to Friday Book Club – but anyone can join for a small fee or donation. Why a small fee? I offer scholarships to families when adversity hits. I never want a child to not have an educational opportunity because of money. This has meant that sometimes my bills didn’t always get paid on time. This year I want to change that! By giving others the chance to share, I am hopeful that I can offer classes to more students.
Book Club meets on Fridays via Zoom. We will explore the foundational Steiner texts for teachers. I have read them all multiple times and each time something new is revealed. I never walk away without an idea or a pondering! Combined with my recent research in wonder strategies for teachers, I have every confidence that this book club will become something very special.
Time zones and all the responsibilities of homeschooling and teaching makes for a difficult book club day and time. I am going to start with Fridays and take suggestions from those who wish to participate.
